LAST WILL OF SIMEON McCAFFRIE
(not my relative)

I Simeon McCaffrie of Sidney in Fremont County Iowa being of sound and _____ mind and memory
do make publish and declare my last will and testament in manner and form as follows towit:

1st I direct that all my just debts be fully paid as soon as can be done without sacrifice to my
property.

2nd I give devise and bequeath to my son Garrett S. McCaffrie the sum of Twenty five hundred
Dollars, same to be by my executor hereinafter appointed used in the purchase of Real Estate
suitable for a home for my said son.

3rd I give and bequeath to my son Judge R. McCaffrie the sum of Two Thousand Dollars same to
be by executor invested in Real Estate suitable for home for my said son.

4th I direct that the bequests in 2nd and 3rd clauses hereof bear interest from time of my death up
to time same is invested in Real Estate at the rate of 6% per annum same to be used so far as
necessary in the maintenance and education of my said sons.

5th I give to my daughter Laura Disney the sum of one thousand dollars to be paid her in full out of
first money received after provision has been made for bequests in 2nd and 3rd clauses hereof.

6th I give devise and bequeath to each of my sons, James McCaffrie, Owen McCaffrie and Cr___
McCaffrie the sum of Five hundred Dollars.

7th I give devise and bequeath to Josephine McCaffrie and Peter McCaffrie children of my son
Owen McCaffrie the sum of Two Hundred and fifty dollars each.

8th I give devise and bequeath to Violet Throckmorton, daughter of my deceased daughter Louise
Throckmorton the sum of two hundred and fifty dollars.

9th After the payment of all my just debts and the bequests hereinbefore made together with the
expenses and costs attending the settlement of my estate, I give devise and bequeath all that
remains of my estate equally share and share alike to my daughters Angie Gardner, Arminta
Durfey, Jennette Campbell, Malvina Kimsey and Ida Huffman.

10th I hereby appoint and constitute my son James McCaffrie executor of my estate and of this my
last will and testament, and direct that at my death that he take charge of all my estate both Real
and Personal and to use and manage same as in his judgement seems for best interest of my
estate, and as seems best ____to result profit over to my estate. It is my will and direction that all
my property both Real and Personal be ultimately sold by him and reduced to money but it is my
will that in making such disposition and sale of my property he use his best Judgement as to time
of sale and method and terms thereof in order that sacrifice may be avoided and the largest
possible sum realized for my re____legatees, and in the matter of time method and terms of sale I
trust entirely to his Judgement and discretion.

On this December 19, 1889 Simeon McCaffrie of Sidney Iowa signed the foregoing instrument of
writing in the presence of each of us and at same time and in same presence declared same to be
his last will and testament and we now at his request and in his presence and in the presence of
each other affix our names hereto.

State of Iowa - Fremont County I, P.G.Cowles clerk of the District Court in and for Fremont County
Iowa do hereby certify that the foregoing will of Simeon McCaffrie was duly allowed and admitted to
probate on Sept 24, '90
