Last Will and Testament of Hiram Redfield
Know all men by these presents that I, Hiram Redfield, a widower of Fremont County and State of
Iowa, being of lawful age and sound mind do hereby make this my Last Will and Testament.1st I hereby give and bequeath to my two sons, Franklin A. and Charles Aelson Redfield, each the
sum of One Dollar2nd I hereby give and bequeath to my eldest daughter, Mary E. Chadwick, the sum of One Dollar.
3rd And I hereby give divise and bequeath to my youngest daughter, Helen Redfield, all the
remainder of my real and personal property now possessed or hereafter acquired by me and of
which I may die seized to her and to her heirs forever and I hereby give divise and bequeath to my
said daughter, Helen, the following specific articles of personal property "Promissory note of Amos
Cox for $600.00, Six Hundred Dollars, secured by mortgage" "Promissory note of G. S. Chadwick
for Five Hundred and Fifty Dollars" and all articles of household and kitchen furniture of which I die
seized.And I hereby nominate and appoint my said daughter and legatee, Helen Redfield, to be the sole
executrix of this my last will and testament and I further recomend and direct to the court that said
executrix be appointed and granted Letters of Administration without bond to the court.Signed on the 4 August 1875 Hiram Redfield
We the undersigned subscribing witnesses do hereby certify that on the 4th day of August 1875 at
the town of Shannandoah, Page County, the foregoing named Hiram Redfield signed sealed and
delivered and published this instrument as his last will and testament in our presence and we at his
request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our
names as subscribing witnesses on the day last specified.

I, H. R. Laird, Clerk of the Circuit Court in and for Fremont County do hereby certify that the above
and foregoing will of Hiram Redfield was at the May term A.D. 1876 of said court and on the 10th
day of May in said term was duly proved and admitted to probate.
