Chester, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Anderson, passed away at the Lutheran Hospital in Hampton on Wednesday, May 4, 1938 following an illness of several weeks.

He was born January 14, 1884 and attained the age of 54 years, 3 months and 20 days at the time of his death. He spent the greater part of his life in Morgan township where he was born and raised with the exception of four years spent in Paw Paw, Illinois returning to his old home in Morgan two years ago.

He leaves to mourn his loss his mother, Annie Anderson; two brothers: Walter T. of Elkhorn, Wisconsin and Elmer C. of Conrad, Iowa and a sister, Mrs. W. Cooper of Paw Paw, Illinois who was unable to be present today on account of illness. His father preceded him in death in September 1924.

Funeral services were conducted from the local M. E. Church at two o'clock Friday afternoon, May 6th by Rev. Dale. Burial took place in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
