Julia Hapney, 70, Dows, died at Rochester, Minnesota Saturday following a lingering illness.

She was born July 2, 1896 near Dows and was a life time resident of Dows. She was the daughter of Michael and Tony (Johnson) Olson. She married Fred Hapney November 3, 1915 at Popejoy.

She is survived by her husband, Fred; two sisters: Mrs. Marie Azeltine, Rowan and Mrs. Emma Rodd of Minneapolis, Minnesota and one brother, Will Olson of Ladysmith, Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and one brother.

Funeral services were held this Tuesday at 2 o'clock at the First Lutheran Church in Dows with Rev. John O. Langehough officiating. Burial was in the Tom Olson cemetery near Dows. The Van Hove Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
