Alexander - Mrs. John Bonte, 85, died early Saturday evening at the home of her son, Theodore Bonte, in Belmond. She had suffered a stroke the Sunday previous.

Funeral services will be held at the German Lutheran church Tuesday.

In addition to her son, Theodore Bonte, Mrs. Bonte is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Chris Schulte and Mrs. Harm Harms, both of Alexander and another son, the Rev. George Bonte of Oregon, Illinois.

Burial will be made in Alexander.
