Albert Ammerman died March 19, 1968 at Veteran's Hospital in Des Moines after an extended illness.
Funeral services were held Thursday at Eyler Funeral Home at Clarion. Burial was at Alexander Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Goldfield American Legion.
Albert J. Ammerman was born October 31, 1913, the son of George and Anna Ammerman in Franklin County. He was educated in the public schools of Goldfield. About 1935 he was united in marriage to Janet Daniels, and to this union four children were born: Terry, David, Patricia and Linda.
About 1950 he married Jeanette Weedman and to this union four children were born: Larry, Marvin, Karen and Dale.
He served in the U.S. Army in World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star for heroism.
His early life was spent in the community of Goldfield and he spent his later years in Webster City.
Surviving are his three brothers: Leo of Dows; George of St. Paul, Minnesota and Charles of Warm Springs, LaPorte, Minnesota and three sisters: Edna Rasmussen of St. Paul, Minnesota; Hannah Wilson of Lakeville, Minnesota and Minnie Martin of Rowan. He is survived also by his eight children and three grandchildren. Mr. Ammerman was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
