Hampton - Jake Ammerman, 74, Hampton, died Monday (November 28, 1988) at his home of natural causes.

Funeral services will be today at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton. Burial will be in the Alexander Cemetery.

He was born October 28, 1914 in Alexander, the son of Jacob and Tena (DeVries) Ammerman. He was educated in the Alexander schools.

He married Ruth A. Meyer on November 22, 1954 in Hampton. Mr. Ammerman was plant manager for Hallets Construction Company out of Ames. He retired in 1976. They moved to Hampton in 1986. He was a member of the Lutheran Church in Story City.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth; one son, Larry of Story City; one grandson; one sister, Mrs. Louise (Paulina) Brandt of Alexander and one brother, Willie of Sheffield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, one sister and one brother.
