Glennavon Parriott, 90, of Iowa Falls, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016 at her home, under the care of Care Initiatives Hospice. A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016 from 5-7 pm at the First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls. Woodley Funeral Home, LLC of Iowa Falls is caring for Glennavon and her family.

Glennavon Gladene Parriott was born on March 22, 1926 to John Christian Fredrick and Minnie (Holland) Glade in Dows, Iowa. She graduated from Dows High School. On June 8, 1947 Glennavon was united in marriage to Freeman Ross in Dows, Iowa. She later married Maurice Parriott on October 21, 1966 in Popejoy, Iowa. Glennavon was a proud resident of the town of Popejoy. She lived to serve her community. She ran the Senior Center in Popejoy, making breakfast and coffee for all the area farmers. Glennavon loved her family and friends unconditionally and always gave back.

Glennavon is survived by her daughter, Julie Knott of Iowa Falls, Iowa; son, Jon (Colleen) Ross of Dows, Iowa; grandchildren, Shanda (Shane) Shears of Waverly, Iowa, Lisa (Jess) Furman of Alexander, Iowa, Jennifer (Kyle) Doering of Polk City, Iowa, Jessica (Solomon) Watne of Maple Grove, MN, Nicole (Kourtney) Nachazel of Iowa Falls, Iowa and Joshua (Daphnye) Ross of Dows, Iowa; sister in-law, Wanda Glade; great grandchildren: Chainee (John) Iriarte, Skyler, Logan and Lane Shears, Kaedon and Layne Furman, Landon, Nathan, Zachary and Evan Doering, Bella, Rowan and Cora Watne, Lydia, Lincoln, Lola, Lois and Levi Nachazel, Archer, Eagan and Aurora Ross and two great-great grandchildren, Payton and Piper. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Maurice Parriott; four sisters and one brother.
