Popejoy - Funeral services for Joseph Hansen, 67, were held at the Methodist church Saturday afternoon. Burial was made in the family lot in the Oakhill Cemetery near Popejoy.

Mr. Hansen came to the United States from Denmark in 1893 and settled on a farm in LaSalle County, Illinois. After a few years he moved to Williams and finally took up residence in Popejoy.

Mrs. Hansen preceded her husband in death on November 7, 1936. To Mr. and Mrs. Hansen were born seven children, all of whom are living with the exception of Joseph who died four years ago. The children are Frank Hansen of Brooklyn, New York; Mrs. Ellen Leslie of Alden; Mrs. Margaret Koehler of Williams; Mrs. Florence Maisel of Hubbard; Carl Hansen of Popejoy and Hazel attending college at Ames. Mr. Hansen is also survived by a brother Knute Hansen, who lived in the United States for many years and later returned to Denmark, another brother and two sisters who have spent their entire lives in Denmark.
