Hampton- Funeral services for Clarence Paulsen, 71, Hampton, who died Wednesday while working at his son's farm near Cherokee, will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Hampton,. The Rev. Fred Ollendorf will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Green & Sietsema Funeral Home, Hampton, from 9 a.m. Friday until services.

Mr. Paulsen is survived his wife, Doris; two daughters, Mrs. James (Geraldine) Cyr, Geneva, and Miss Paulline Paulsen, Iowa Falls; three sons, Darrell, Cherokee; Duane, Hampton, and Dennis, Otho; six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Cleo palmer, Mrs. Harold Jorgensen and Mrs. Charles McRoberts, all of Hampton, and a brother, Elmer, Latimer.

Clarence Paulsen, Hampton, passed away very suddenly Wednesday morning of an apparent heart attack at the farm home of his son in Cherokee, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran Church southwest of Hampton, with the Rev. Fred Ollendorf officiating at the last rites. Interment was in the church cemetery. Green & Sietsema Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

He was born May 26, 1906, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jorgen Paulsen. He was married to Doris Wallace Nov. 27, 1942, at Bethany, Mo. They farmed in Franklin County.

Mr. Paulsen is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Jim Cyr of Geneva, Pauline Paulsen of Iowa falls, three sons, Darrell of Cherokee, Duane at home and Dennis of Otho. also surviving is one brother, Elmer of Latimer, three sisters, Mrs. Cleo Palmer, Mrs. Harold Jorgensen and Mrs. Charles McRoberts all of Hampton, and six grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
He died October 19, 1977.
