Last Rites Held Saturday For Rasmus Pedersen

Rasmus M. Pedersen, 88, of Latimer died on Thursday morning at Franklin Nursing Home in Hampton. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 29, from the Willim Funeral Home in Latimer. The Rev. Donald Larson officiated at the memorial service and burial was in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery west of Hampton.

He was born in Denmark on August 13, 1885 and was the son of Mr. And Mrs. Peder Pederson.

He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church in Denmark and lived there until he was twenty years old when he came to the United States. He first went to Nebraska and several years later came to Latimer with a Danish tiling group. At one time he operated a hardware store in Latimer but spent most of his life as a painter.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Marie Jensen, of Denmark and several nieces and nephews in Denmark and Michigan.
