Leo Nielsen Miller, 74, Hampton, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, at the Hampton care Center.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 14, at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Hampton, with the Rev. Mary Petersen officiating. Burial was in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hampton. Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home, Hampton was in charge of arrangements.

Leo was born September 15, 1929, in Hampton, to Ezra Miller and Agna Nielsen. He was raised in Hampton and graduated from Hampton High School in 1949.

Leo served his country in the United States Army in the Korean War from 1952-1953.
On August 1, 1954, Leo married Janice Rodda in Newell.

He was a farmer.

Leo was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Farm Bureau. He enjoyed dancing, music, playing the keyboard, spending time with his grandchildren, and he loved to farm.

Living family members include his wife, Janice, Hampton; a son, Curt (Debra) Miller, Hampton; two daughters; Elise (Steven) Henkels, Glen Ellyn, Ill.; Kristie (Stephen) Shaffer, Hastings, Minn.; a brother, Armond N. (Bev) Miller, Newton and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
