Beverly R. (Miller) Miller, 74, of Newton, died Saturday, May 22, 2010, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

The family greeted friends from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, at St. Luke United Methodist Church, 501 E 19th St. N in Newton. Burial will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 28, at St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery in rural Hampton.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to St. Luke United Methodist Church or to Susan G. Koman Foundation.

Beverly was the daughter of Adolph and Evangeline (Borcheding) Miller. She was born August 18, 1935, in Davenport. She was a graduate of davenport Central High School and the Iowa teacher's College in Cedar Falls.

On July 7, 1956, Beverly was united in marriage with Armund N. Miller in Davenport.

She has been a resident of newton since 1964.
She taught in davenport, Sheffield-Chapin and newton school districts.

Those left to honor Beverly's memory are her husband of 53 years, Armond; three daughters, Shelly Chandler of Johnston, Marcia (Jerry) Weiler of Remsen and Becky (Craig) Stuvick of Nolensville, Tennessee; her six grandchildren, Tom Chandler, Anna Chandler, Nicholas Weiler, Christopher Weiler, Gregory Weiler and Kathy Stuvick; sister, Shirley Mirfield of Long Grove; two brothers, Vernon (Donna) Miller of Bettendorf and Dan (Sherry) Miller of Indianapolis, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Evangeline (Borcheding) Miller.
