Nis Peter Jorgensen passed away Friday morning, April 10 at the John Londergan home. Mr. Jorgensen was the oldest pioneer around the Latimer community and had many friends.

Mr. Jorgensen was born December 7th, 1844 at Hellevold Aaburaa Amt. Norslevig, Denmark. He came to Chicago, Ill., about fifty six years ago and from there he moved to Franklin County in 1881 where he settled on his farm southeast of Latimer.

In 1899 he retired and on August 4 he was married to Mrs. Mary Erickson and had since made his home in Latimer. For the past year he and his wife made their home at the John Londergan home.

Mr. Jorgensen's death was caused from complications of old age and had only been confined to his bed about a week. He was 99 years of age.

He leaves to morn his death his widow, five stepdaughters, Mrs. John Londergan of Latimer, Mrs. E.N. Guldberg and Mrs. Guy Crapser of Thornton, Mrs. Joe Johnson of Mason City, and Mrs. Will Williamson of Battle Lake, Minn., and two nieces, Mrs. Jacob Christensen of Coulter and Mrs. Chris Schultz of Battle Lake, Minn.
