Harold Miller Jorgensen, 82, of Hampton, died Friday, July 30, 1999, at Scenic Manor Care Center in Iowa falls.

Funeral services were held Monday, Aug, 2, at the St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Hampton, with the Rev. Louise Stromberg officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. The Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton was in charge of arrangements.

Harold was born Aug. 11, 1916, in Hardin County, the son of Nels Jorgensen and Carrie Larsen. He attended Hamilton Township schools, and on June 19, 1940, in rural Hampton, Harold married Selma Paulsen. He was a farmer and a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church of rural Hampton and the masons Home Lodge.

Harold is survived by two sons, Michael of Hampton and Gary of Tampa, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and two brothers, James and Leo.
