Iris Anina Jensen, 88, of Harvell, Mo., formerly of Franklin County, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 1997, in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 23, at St. John's Lutheran Church, rural hampton. Burial was in St. John's Lutheran cemetery, Hampton. Memorials may be given in her name to the church. Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home, Poplar Bluff, Mo., was in charge of arrangements.

Iris Anina Jensen was born march 20, 1909, in Odense, Fyn, Denmark. She came to America in March of 1913 aboard the Santa Maria with her parents, Christian and Anina Schmidt.

She grew up in Franklin County, where she married Ingvaardt O. Jensen, who preceded her in death in 1972.

She was a retired RN from Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. She had resided in Harvell, Mo. Since 1972. She was a 17-year memeber of RSVP and taught ceramics at the Twin Towers and at the Sears Youth Ceneter.

She is survived by a daughter, Betty Britton of Harvell; two granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren.
