Funeral services for Hans Jensen, 81, Hampton, who passed away early Monday morning at the Franklin General hospital, will be held this afternoon, Thursday, at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, southwest of Hampton, with Rev. Fred Ollendorf officiating at the last rites. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Green & Sietsema funeral home is in charge of the arrangements.

He was born April 22, 1896 in Torring, Denmark, the son of the late Mr. And Mrs. Jens Jensen.

He was married Feb. 27, 1923 to Helga Hansen at Viborg, S.D. They farmed until retiring. Mrs. Jensen passed away in early 1977.

Mr. Jensen is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Fred (Edna) Swihart, Lincoln, Neb.; one son, Verner Jensen of Cedar Falls; four brothers, Peter of Ocala, Fla., and Knud, Anker and Einer, all in Denmark. Also surviving are three grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one sister.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
