R. Glenn Hillis, 57, of Webster City died Monday Feb. 27, 1995, at Hamilton county Public Hospital in Webster City, following a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City, with the Rev. John Grebner officiating. Committal services will be held at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery south of Hampton, with military rite provided by American Post #491 of Duncombe. Foster Funeral Home of Webster City is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Oct. 21, 1937, on a farm southeast of Rockwell, the son of Roy and Ruth (Wickwire) Hillis. He graduated from Rockwell High School in 1956, He served with the U.S. Army for nine years, with three years spent in Germany.

On March 21, 1987, he married Alice Hansen Glaspie at Webster City.

He was assistant manager for the last 16 years with Scrap processors of Webster City. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #809 of Fort Dodge and the Moose Legion Corn Belt #152 and American Legion #491 of Duncombe.

He is survived by his mother of Mason City; his wife; a daughter, Beverly Christiansen of Coulter; a son, Glenn of LaCrosse, Wis.; two stepsons, David Glaspie of Garrard, Kan., and Douglas of Duncombe and Darla Glaspie of Webster City; two sisters, Dorothy Kollman and Anna Anderson, both of Mason City; a brother, John of Grand Island, Neb.; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.
