Services for Tanoa Nels Hansen, 43, Des Moines, formerly of the Hampton and Coulter areas, will be held at 1:30 today (Thursday) at St. John's Lutheran Church, southwest of Hampton. Revs. Thomas Hungerford and Milton Eklund will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Hansen died of cancer at his home on Tuesday, July 5.

He was born April 5, 1945, in Coos Bay, Ore., to Alton Peter and Irene (Falls) Hansen. On Aug. 4, 1980, he married Diane Kempf in Mercer, Mo.

Mr. Hansen lived in Des Moines the past five years and was a self-employed carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, Diane, Des Moines; his mother, Mrs. Irene Hansen, Ames; two sisters, Mrs. Aloma Foley, Chicago, Ill.; and Mrs. Renee Francis, Ames.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home, Hampton, was in charge of arrangements.
