Anton c. Grosche, of Hampton, passed away Wednesday morning at the Franklin General Hospital where he had been a patient for eight days after suffering a stroke. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran Church, southwest of Hampton, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Sedoris McCartney officiated at the last rites. The Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He was born May 11, 1888 in Alberg, Denmark. On June 14, 1923, he was married to Anna Anderson in Hampton. He operated a blacksmith and body repair shop in Hampton and retired in 1965. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the IOOF Lodge.

He was proceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son and one brother. Survivors include one son, Arne Grosche, of Arvada, Colorado, and four grandchildren.
