Services were held for Marie Dockwell 90, Coulter, who died Wednesday at Mason City hospital.
Services were at St. John's Lutheran Church, southeast of Coulter, were officiated by Rev. Milton Eklund. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Dockwell was born Aug. 10, 1894 in Cedar Falls to Peter and Anna Jacobsen. She attended schools in rural Franklin County and Grandview College, Des Moines. She married George Dockwell on April 25, 1917.
The couple farmed in Hamilton County and in Minnesota, before returning to Franklin County in 1926. They retired in 1952 and moved to Coulter in 1962. She was a member of St John's Lutheran church and church circles.
Survivors include three sons, Raymond, Dows; Lyle, Latimer ; and George, Belmond; four daughters, Mrs. Clell (Velma) Thompson, Des Moines; Mrs. Merle (Myrtle) Gunderson, Rowan; Hazel Lester, Clarion; and Gladys Andeshok, Garden Grove, Calif.; two brothers, Harley Jacobsen, Dows; and Carl Jacobbsen, Coulter; one sister, Mrs. Sophus (Dagmar) Christensen, Hampton; sixteen grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great- great-grandchildren.
