George C. Dockwell, age sixty nine, of Coulter, passed away Friday evening very suddenly at his home. Funeral services will be held this afternoon, Tuesday, at 2:30 o'clock, at St. John's Lutheran Church, southeast of Coulter, with the Rev. W.R. Garred officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Van Hove Funeral Home, of Latimer, is in charge of the arrangements.
He was born November 18, 1893, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Mr. And Mrs. George Dockwell. In 1910 he moved to the Coulter area and had since made his home there. On April 25, 1917, he was married to Marie Jacobsen, at St. John's Lutheran Church.
Mr. Dockwell is survived by his wife, three sons, Raymond Dockwell, of Dows, Lyle Dockwell, of Latimer, and George Dockwell Jr., of Riceville, and four daughters, Mrs. Clell (Velma) Thompson, of Des Moines, Mrs. Merle (Myrtle) Gunderson, of Rowan, Mrs. Kenneth (Hazel) Lester, of Clarion, and Mrs. Gladys Lester, of Mason City, and fifteen grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, two brothers and one sister.
