Hannah Caroline Davidsen, 98, of Sheffield, died Friday, Dec. 22, 1995, at the Sheffield Care Ceneter.

Funeral services were Tueday, Dec. 26, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Latimer, with the Rev. Dennis Arndt officiating.

Burial was in St. John's Cemetery west of Hampton.
She was born May 17, 1897, at Ringsted, the daughter of Hans and Kristen (Dixen) Jorgensen.
She attended the Ringsted school and later the Danish Folk School at Tyler, Minn.

Her mother died in 1909 and was buried on Hannah's 12th birthday. In 1911, they moved to Koedeby, Langeland, Denmark, where she was confirmed in the Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church. The family returned to the United States in 1912, settled in Morgan township, Franklin County. From 1922 to 1926, she lived in Manistee, Mich., working at various jobs and operating her own bakery.

She married Peter M. Davidsen Aug. 30, 1927, in Des Moines. They lived on an acreage near Latimer until 1975, when they moved to Latimer Manor. She enetered the Sheffield Care Center in October 1989.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ivan (Elna) Meyer and Mrs. Glenn (Jeanette) Freie, both of Latimer; seven grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Robert Wayne; and one brother, Magnus.
