Harold Dale Crippen, 59, of Iowa falls, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 1994, at North Iowa Mercy Hospital in Mason city of cardiac arrest.
Graveside memorial services will be held Monday, Sept. 12, at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran cemetery at Coulter. A fellowship will be held at the Moose Lodge following the service.
Harold Crippen was born June 16, 1935, at Eldora to Glen and Ruth Miller Crippen. He graduated from Eldora High School in 1953.
On Aug. 24, 1964, he married Eva Rasmussen in Blue Earth, Minn. He worked for fifteen years for the Iowa department of transportation and ran the Iowa falls taxi service for six years. He served in the Iowa Army Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Eva; three sons, Jack Brass and Roger Crippen, both of Iowa Falls, and David Brass of Grundy Center; three daughters, Sharon Stanton of Des Moines, Elizabeth Brass of Tucson, Ariz., Cynthia Cook of Iowa Falls; six grandchildren; his mother, Ruth Crippen of Eldora; and one brother, Lloyd Crippen of Rogers, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glen, and an infant sister.
