Anna E. Hansen, 84, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away November 27, 2009, at the Franklin General Nursing Facility in Hampton, Iowa.

She was born November 9, 1925, in Latimer, Iowa to Fred Berghorn and Feida (Schulz) Berghorn.

Anna attended country school in the Latimer area. She was married to Earl Hansen on May 5, 1960, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hampton, Iowa.

Anna was a homemaker and also helped her husband Earl with his electrical work. She was a member of the ST John's Lutheran Church, the VFW and St John's Lutheran ELCA women's group. Anna enjoyed being active in the church, she was also an excellent cook and baker.

Anna is survived by her sister-in-law Leona & husband Bud Meyer of Coulter, brother-in-law Glenn Hansen of Cedar Falls, sister-in-law Shirley & husband Loren Reineking of Johnston, nieces Sue and husband Richard Blau of Alexander, Lori and husband Phil Ruge-Jones of San Marcos, Texas, Cara and husband Mike Ludeman of Ionia, nephews Jeff and wife Sally Meyer of Newton, Steve Jones and wife Laura of Newton, Scott Hansen of Las Vegas, Nevada and several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl in 2008, daughter Kathryn in 2007 and sister-in-law Sherrill Hansen.
