Johannas "John" Lund was born December 7, 1930, at Hampton, Iowa, the son of Frederik and Katherine "Brinks" Lund.

He attended rural Hampton, Iowa country schools.

On September 10, 1950 he was united in marriage to Maxine Butterwick at the First United Methodist Church, Iowa Falls, Iowa.

John farmed west of Hampton, Iowa until 1967 and then operated Lund Equipment implement dealership at Waverly, Iowa until 1983 moving to Iowa falls. He then sold real estate for Mid-Iowa real estate and the Jennings real Estate, Iowa Falls.

John was an avid golfer and a member and former board director of the Meadow Hills Golf Club,
Iowa Falls (past board of directors), a member and president of the Iowa Falls Senior Citizen Center, a member of AMVETS, Waverly, Iowa, Hymann - Peavey American Legion Post # 188, Iowa falls , Iowa, and St Paul Lutheran Church, Waverly, Iowa. He was a former member of the Mason's, Shrine, and Elks Lodges.

John Lund is survived by his wife of 50 years; Maxine Lund of Iowa Falls; two daughters; Linda Mueller and husband Tim of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Phyllis Lund of Waverly, Iowa; two sons; John R. Lund of Waverly, Iowa, Roger Lund and wife Kathy of Waverly, Iowa; eight grandchildren; Rachel, Leah, and Martha Mueller of Oklahoma City, Amanda, John D., and Brian Lund of Clarksville, Iowa; Brad and Payne Lund of Waverly, one sister: Martha Miller of Hampton, Iowa.

He was proceeded in death by his parents: Frederik and Katherine Lund; an infant daughter: Nancy Lund; and three sisters: Lydia Hanson, Laura Ryan, and Edith Holly.
