Coulter, Iowa, April 12 Funeral services for Jorgen Christensen, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Verner Petersen last Saturday morning, were held at St Johns Lutheran church last Tuesday afternoon and burial was made in the church cemetery. Rev H.C. Strandskov, pastor of the church, assisted by Rev. Otto Jorgensen, of Cedar Falls, conducted the services.

Mr. Christensen was born February 15, 1858, in Denmark and he grew to manhood there. He was united in marriage to Karoline Jorgensen in 1885 in Denmark. The couple came to America after a few years and settled in Hamilton County, Iowa, where they resided for a short time. They then moved to a farm in the Latimer community and had made their home in the Latimer and Coulter communities ever since. For some time past the couple had been staying with their daughter, Mrs. Verner Petersen.

Mrs. Christensen proceeded Mr. Christensen on March 25th, just 2 weeks preceding his death. She was seventy three years of age. Funeral services for Mrs. Christensen were held at St Johns church with the pastor and Rev Otto Jorgensen conducting the services. The couple was proceeded in death by a daughter and one son.

The deceased parents are survived by three daughters, Mrs. Verner Petersen, Mrs. Ida Westergaard and Miss Sophus Christensen, and one son John Christensen all of Coulter.
