Dagny Christina Christensen, 96, of Hampton, died Tuesday, Dec7, 1999 at the Hampton Care center.
Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. today at the Sietsma-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the St John's Lutheran Church, rural Hampton, conducted by Rev. Louise Stromberg. Burial will be in the St John's Lutheran cemetery.

Dagny was born Dec. 24, 1902 at Latimer, the daughter of Soren and Stina Hansen. She was raised in Franklin County and was educated in rural Franklin County country schools.

Dec. 12,1923 she married John Christensen at St John's Lutheran Church. She was active in that church and always played the organ there for many years.

Survivors include two daughters, Deloris Simons of Hampton and Marlys Hansen of Rio Verda, Ariz.; six grand children; eight great-grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and a sister, Stella Nervig of Des Moines.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, one great grandson and one brother.
