Ackley, Sept. 26 - Newton Penny, a rural mail carrier out of Ackley, died very suddenly Sunday. Penny was a well known character in this vicinity and came in for considerable publicity recently by reason of having attached an electrical apparatus to the harness of the mule which he drove on the rural route and by means of which he had only to press a button on the dashboard of his buggy to give the mule a shock and thus accelerate its speed.
