Last Rites Held Friday Afternoon For L.B. Walker
Funeral services for L. B. Walker, who passed away Wednesday morning at his home in Hampton were held Friday afternoon at the Green funeral home in Hampton. Rev. A.F. Lindner, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran church conducted the last rites and burial was made in the Hampton cemetery.

Leil Byron Walker was born April 12, 1892 in Marquette, Nebraska, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Byron H. Walker. In 1900 the family came to Hampton where he attended the Hampton high school. In 1913 he was married to Anna Bahls of Emmetsburg and to this union ten children were born. He was employed as assistant county engineer for several years and later as county engineer. In later years he was in various phases of employment.

Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Thomas Manifold, Mrs. Duane Anderson and Mrs. Bernard Petersen of Hampton and Mrs. Allen Connelly of Dumont and five sons, Robert Walker of Des Moines, Edward Walker of Mt. Pleasant, William Walker of Greene and Richard Walker and Herbert Walker of Hampton. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Kyle Fowler and Mrs. J.Q. Wolfe of Hampton and twenty grandchildren.
