BOURNE, HOYT, SHOEMAKER

Hampton, Ia., Sept. 17 - N.R. Bourne, a resident of this county since 1873, died at his home on Dodge street south, at the age of 78.

He was born in Connecticut in 1842. His service in the Civil war covered a three year period.

March 17, 1868, he was married to Miss Permelia Hoyt, who died 14 years ago.

Nov. 7, 1906, he was united to Miss Jessie Shoemaker, who with one child, Len Harlan, survive him.

He was a member of J.W. McKenzie Post of the G.A.R. and of the M.E. church. Funeral services were at Memorial hall, Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. FC. Witzigman, and burial was in Hampton cemetery.
