Wednesday morning occurred the death of Mr. E.F. Hanks. Mr. Hanks has made Clear Lake his home for the past three years, residing with the family of W.M. Raw. The direct cause of his death was dropsy. Mr. Hanks has been ill about four weeks.

He leaves two sons and a daughter to mourn his loss. James Hanks, of Postville, Ia., Geo. Hanks, of Sheffield, Ia., and Mrs. Mattie Hall, who resides on the Severson farm south of town.

The funeral will take place tomorrow in Hampton. Mr. Hanks was 76* years old at the time of his death.
