PATTON, STEINHAGEN, BEED, ARGENT

Dwight H. Patton, age sixty, of Los Angeles, California, former Hampton resident, passed away last Saturday, June 9th, following a heart attack which he suffered on Wednesday.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Los Angeles and burial was made in the Forest Lawn cemetery.

Dwight H. Patton, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George C. Patton, was born September 6, 1890, in Hampton. He attended the Hampton schools and operated a cleaning shop which he later sold to the late George C. Ford.

On June 4, 1917, he was married to Miss Mayme Steinhagen, in Chicago, and they made their home there for a time, later moving to Los Angeles where he has been employed at the Security First National Bank.

He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the Baptist church.

Besides his wife, Mr. Patton is survived by one brother, D.S. Patton, of Denver, Colorado, and two sisters, Mrs. Roy R. Beed, of Streator, Illinois, and Mrs. Nettie Argent, of Fontana, California.
