Alexander, Iowa, June 6 - Boyd Rodemeyer, age forty, of Iowa Falls, former Alexander resident, died in the Lutheran hospital, at Hampton, Thursday afternoon, after an illness of six weeks. The body was taken to the Wood funeral home in Iowa Falls. He was a veteran of World War II.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Woods funeral home.
He was born at Alexander, April 9, 1911, a son of Mr. and Mrs. F.D. Rodemeyer. He married Miss Gladys Thies at Dubuque in 1938. For a number of years he was a carpenter and painter and for the last six years had driven a truck.
Survivors include his parents, living at Alexander; his widow; a son by a former marriage, Sgt. Robert Dean Rodemeyer, stationed at Camp Pendleton, California; a sister, Mrs. D.M. Alexander, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three brothers, Robert Rodemeyer, of Iowa Falls; Cecil Rodemeyer, of Mason City, and Allen Rodemeyer, of Tipton.
He was a member of the American Legion and the Moose lodge.
