Funeral services for Mrs. Mae P. Jones of Hampton who passed away Monday morning February 26 (1968) at the Hampton nursing home after a lingering illness were held Wednesday afternoon at the first Baptist church Rev. R. Ted Nutting officiated at the last rites and burial was in the Hampton cemetery. The Green & Sietsetma funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Jones was born May 11, 1883 in Iowa falls, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Philpott. She married Roy Jones in September 1902 in Chapin. They made their home in Chapin before moving to Hampton.

She is survived by one son, Earl Jones and one daughter Mrs. Forrest K. Yaw both of Hampton. Three grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers and two sisters.
