Chapin - Funeral services for Mrs. N.J. Rhutasel, 87, were held here at the Congregational church Sunday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Alec Russell, pastor of the Congregational church, and the Rev. A.R. Grant, pastor of the M.E. church.

Emma A. Sheldon was born at Aurora, Ill., Dec. 8, 1848 and died at her home in Chapin. she was married to N.J. Rhutasel, March 5, 1872, at Aurora, Ill.

She is survived by one son, A.L. Rhutasel of this place and two grandsons, A.J. Rhutasel of near Mason city and Clarence Rhutasel at home.

She came to Chapin in 1873 and lived here ever since. Mrs. Rhutasel was the oldest resident of Chapin. Burial was made in the Hampton cemetery.
