L.L. Raymond, resident of Mason City, treasurer of Cerro Gordo county, died at the family home there Sunday evening at 7:30 after a prolonged illness.
Born in Hampton in 1888, son of Mr. and Mrs. L.B. Raymond, he was reared in that city. His father, with the late I.L. Stuart, was editor and publisher of the Franklin County Recorder, for all of forty years, and he had been employed on that paper.
Several years, during World War I, he was in an ambulance division, serving a year overseas. He had been employed in the office of the treasurer of Franklin county, and at the time of death was treasurer of Cerro Gordo county. Mr. Raymond had been affiliated with several fraternal organizations and was active in civic projects.
