Hampton, Aug 15 - Funeral services for Mrs. Ray Towle, who was fatally burned early Sunday morning in a kerosene explosion, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Christian church. The Rev. Mrs. L.H. Sours of Iowa Falls officiated.

Mrs. Towle was Edna Elizabeth Thomas, daughter of Theodore Thomas, an old pioneer family of Franklin county. She was born at Faulkner, June 7, 1876, and moved with her parents while a small child to the Thomas farm, 2 miles west of Geneva. She was married to Ray Towle Dec. 18, 1907, and moved to Hampton in 1908 and lived here since.

Besides her husband and father, who lived with her for several years, she is survived by six children: Don of Sioux City; Allen, Viola, Gennetta, Theodore and Mrs. George Soper, all of Hampton; and three brothers, Loyd and Frank Thomas of Geneva, and Ralph of Boulder, Colo. She was buried in the Hampton cemetery.
