Lieutenant Muir Dead
Hampton, Oct 10 - The funeral of David Muir, Jr., occurred yesterday afternoon from his father's residence here in town. Mr. Muir was about 30 years old and leaves a wife and one small child, besides his parents, a sister and brother and a host of friends. He was first lieutenant in Co. D of the Fifty-first regiment in the war between the United States and Spain. At the time of his death, which resulted from typhoid fever, he was living about ten miles northeast of town on his farm. Between sixty and seventy teams were in the procession to the cemetery. The K of P lodge had the funeral services in charge.
