Bert Sherman, a farmer near Dows, died at Ellsworth hospital in Iowa Falls last week, a victim of lockjaw. He was repairing some fences the first of the week when he sustained an abrasion of the skin on one of his hands. The tetanus spread rapidly through his system. He was hurried to the hospital but all efforts to rid the system of the infection proved unsuccessful.
