Final Services Held For Miss Edith Hoxie-- Was A Former School Teacher In The Hampton School System—Funeral services for Miss Edith Hoxie who died at her home in Hampton last Friday were held at the home on Sunday, Rev. H. Lee Jacobs, pastor of the Congregational church of Hampton, conducted the services and burial was made in the family plot at the Hampton cemetery.

Miss Hoxie had suffered for some twenty years from arthritis, but had been able to visit and travel a good deal, and had spent several days last week visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. J. Y. Luke, in Ames. Her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Robinson, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, had spent several days during the week visiting at the Hoxie home here, and had only shortly before they left for their home on the morning of Miss Hoxie’s death.

She was a life-long resident of Hampton, and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Hoxie, who were pioneer residents of Franklin county. She attended the Hampton schools and was for a great many years a teacher in the local school system, having been the teacher of many present residents of the city, and having taught several members of her own family.
