Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tueday, July 21st at the Uloft-Johhanson Funeral Chapel, Lake Benton, for Thorvald Faber, who passed away Sunday, July 19th at McJennan Hospital, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Rev. Edwin Bissell of Slayton officated at the service. Music was provided by Mrs. Bob Worth, soloist, and Miss Connie Crooks, organist. Pall Bearers were Donald Kuhn, Williams Willaims, James Birner, Thomas Marti, Patrick Krick, and Rex Dagel.

Interment was in Memorial Hill Cemetery, Lake Benton.

Thorvald Faber, son of Jorgen and Johanna Faber, was born December 27th, 1880 at Tommerup, Denamrk. He was babptized and confirmed in the Luthern Faith. He came to America in 1909 and settled at Latimer, Iowa. He moved to Lake Benton in 1916 and was engaged in farming until 1954 when he moved to town. Mr. Faber was united in marriage June 29th, 1917 at Mankato to Sophie Christiansen. To this union two children were born, Woodrow, Lake Benton and Winifred, Minneapolis. Mr. Faber had been hosiptalized at Divine Province Hospital, Ivanhoe, since April of this year.
