Obituary from HAMPTON CHRONICLE, November 7, 1963, page 3, section A:
"LAST RITES HELD FOR W.S. LITTLE
"Hampton Man Passed Away Sunday In Texas
"Funeral service for W. S. Little, of Hampton, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Vogel funeral home, in Hampton. Rev. Kenneth J. Harden, pastor of the Methodist church, at Chapin, officiated at the last rites and burial was made in the Hampton cemetery. Mr. Little passed away Sunday at Weatherford, Texas, after suffering a stroke. Mr. and Mrs. Little were enroute to Dragoon, Arizona, on a vacation.
"Wayland S. Little was born December 3, 1894, in Franklin county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles S. Little. He was a lifelong resident of Hampton and Franklin county.
"On January 29, 1917, he was married to Amy E. Heuermann and they made their home south of Hampton where they operated an upholstery shop. "He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Lindy Green, of Chapin, and Mrs. John Kaufman, of Aiken, Minnesota, six grandchildren, one great grandchild, and two sisters, Mrs. H. H. McTaggert and Mrs. James Chapel, of Burbank, California. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
"Mr. Little was a member of the IOOF lodge."
