Private Rites arranged for Donald Tonn – Private family committal services for Donald Lonnie Tonn, 54, will be Saturday at the convenience of the family, with burial in Sunnyside Memory Gardens. The Hage Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements and friends may call at the funeral home Friday afternoon and evening.

Mr. Tonn died late Wednesday afternoon in his home at 506 17th Ave., where he has lived since 1960.

The son of Lonnie and Carrie Irene Zipse Tonn he was born in Charles City on December 6, 1920, and was educated in Davenport Community Schools. He served in the Army during World War II, and was employed in the assembly line at White Farm Equipment for the past 26 years.

He was married on November 2, 1946, in Charles City to Mary J. Marker, who survives. Other survivors include three sons, Michael and William Tonn, and Donald Klock, all of Charles City; a daughter, Linda Bynon, Charles City; five grandchildren, and a sister, Madonna Meyers.
