Charles City, Iowa -- Funeral services were here Monday for Mrs. Minnie Tonn, 83, who died in the Cedar Valley hospital Friday night following an extended illness; nee Minnie Witgrefe was born Sept. 2, 1864, in Germany; came to the United States in 1869 and in 1880 she married Emil Tonn; they had nine children; Mrs. Tonn made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Warren Monroe, 607 Court street; leaves six children; Mrs. Lou Kalkbrenner, New Hampton; Mrs. Arthur Grahlman, Mrs. Henry O'Connell, Mrs. Warren Monroe, Lonnie Tonn and Albert Tonn, all of Charles City; 22 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
