MARBLE ROCK, IOWA - Funeral services were here Tuesday for William J. Melugin, 82, who died after a long illness due to old age complication, born May 21, 1867 to John and Adeline Melugin at Melugin's Grove, Illinois, came to Marble Rock with his parents when 11 months old and had always lived either near or in Marble Rock, farmed for 20 years and worked on the county roads for many years.

He married Myrtle Keith of Marble Rock Sept, 16, 1897; to this union seven children were born, two dying in infancy and Verle Alton last May, leaves widow, two sons, Berle Dalton Melugin, Iowa Falls, and Woodrow W. Melugin, Marble Rock, two daughters, Mrs. Eldo Weigman, Allison and Mrs. Darrow Gates, Marble Rock, a brother Clarke Melugin, Marble Rock and three grandsons.
