Jesse Troutner

Gravesite services for Jesse A. Troutner, 78, a resident of 101 Sprigg St., who died early Tuesday morning at the Floyd County Memorial hospital will be Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Riverside Cemetary. Rev. A.C. Wegner, Jr., pastor of Faith Bible Chapel will officiate.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Thursday and until 11:30 a.m. Friday.

Jesse Allen Troutner was born April 21, 1900 in Charles City the son of Ezra and Mertie May Allen* Troutner. On Oct. 26, 1927 he was married to Blanche Shirley.

Surviving are his wife Blanche, seven daughters and two sons, they are, Mrs. Merlyn (Ruby) Brown, Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. James (Jessie) Sharp, Seattle, Wash., Frances Harvey, Sunnyvale, Calif., Mrs. Donald (Mertie) Gilbert, Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Don (Toni) Lokenvitz, Charles City, Kim Krall, Charles City, Mrs. James (Dawn) Scott, Iowa City, Clyde Troutner, Escandido, Calif., and Roy Troutner of Minneapolis. Also surviving is one sister Mrs. Fred Vierkandt of Rockford. There are 26 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

*Name correction: Mertie May Allen is really Myrtie May Albert, verified through marraige license, and numerous birth & death certificates.
