Andrew B. Troutner was born in Hollidaysburg, Penn., January 8th, 1845. When two years of age he came with his parents to Elkhart, Ind., where he resided five years. The family then moved from Elkhart, to Bradford, Chickasaw County, Iowa in the fall of 1853.

He, accompanied by his wife, moved to Omaha, Neb., where they made their home for two years, coming to Charles City in 1870, where he has lived until the date of his death. His wife and two sons, Jesse and Ezra, survive him.

He has four brothers, three sisters and mother living. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Tuesday, August 15th, at 2:00pm.

Funeral services at the house. The death of Mr. Troutner has long been anticipated by the public. He has been an invalid for many years and has prolonged his life by sheer will force. He has been a great physical sufferer for a long time and welcomed the hour of death. We have known Mr. Troutner intimately for many years. He has lived a quiet, peaceable, unassuming life. He was upright and honorable in all the relations of life. He was a devoted husband and father to his family and was warmly attached to his friends. He took an active interest in public affairs but was seldom demonstrative or aggresive. Thus one of our oldest and best citizens has passed away. Peace to his ashes.
