OBITUARY -- MRS. S. A. PARKER

Lovina Ripley, second daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Sanford Ripley, was born in Riverton Township, Floyd county, Iowa, October 6, 1860 and died at her home February 2, 1929, aged 68 years, 3 months and 27 days. Her parents preceded her in death, her father passed away in 1907, her mother passed away in 1902.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. G. R. Wert of Elismore, Missouri and Mrs. Charles Lindaman of Charles City who is presently making her home with her son in Minneapolis, Minnesota. One brother, William Ripley, passed away in 1881.

She was united in marriage with Stephen A Parker July 4, 1879 and to this union seven children were born three of which died in infancy the remaining four children are Mrs. F.L. Carr, Clay R., and H.P. Parker of Charles City, Iowa and Mrs. D.W. Ripley of Fresno, California. She also leaves six grandchildren.

Mrs. Parker was a member of the First Christian Church of this city ever being true to her religious vows.

She was a kind and loving wife and mother a true friend and neighbor and will be sadly missed in the community where she has always lived, by the hosts of people who join with the family in their bereavement.

Funeral services were held at the First Christian Church Charles City, Iowa February 5, 1929, conducted by her pastor Rev. G.A. Hess and the remains laid to rest in the family lot at the Riverton Cemetery.
