Mrs. M. Merrick Dies at 38; Rockford Rites

ROCKFORD, IOWA - Mrs Merlin (Luella) Merrick, age 38, died Thursday evening at the University Hospitals, Iowa City, following a long illness.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the First Methodist Church here.

The Rev. George Baker will officiate.

Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, Charles City, with Weaver Funeral Home in charge.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tybo Schreiver, she had lived her entire life in this area. She was married March 21, 1943. She was a member of the Methodist Church, Royal Neighbors and past matron of the Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Karen and a son Roger, all at home, her mother in Rockford; three brothers, Fredrick and Dick Schreiver, Palmdale, Calf.; Ben Schreiver, Rockford; two sisters, Mrs Arthur Abbas, Winnebago, Minn., Mrs. Robert Kock, Greene.
